Compass Box Ultramarine, part of the Extinct Blends Quartet, is a limited-edition blended whisky released in July 2022. A reimagination of classic blended whiskies, it combines malt whiskies from Caol Ila and Glendullan with grain whisky from Cameronbridge and Girvan. Embracing old-school sherry character and ethereal peatiness, Ultramarine boasts aromas of honey, polished oak, toffee, vanilla custard, and rich peat smoke. The palate reveals notes of roasted pecans, raisins, Chantilly cream, stewed apples, gingerbread, dried fruit, clove, and rich smoke, culminating in a lingering finish.
