Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries is a blend of barrels from the Hanyu and Chichibu distilleries, embodying sweetness and firmness. Aged in Japanese oak barrels, it offers fruity (Mirabelle, damson) and cereal (oat flake, orgeat) notes with hints of anise and cinnamon. Quince paste, red fruit jelly, and caramel candy enrich the aroma. The palate introduces pear and prune fruit pastes, warm spice, herbal notes, and a nuanced bitterness. The finish transitions from fruit to a freshly peeled Comice pear's skin, with soft spices and a slight astringency. Overall, a complex and balanced pure malt expression.
