Founded in 2005, Kilchoman stands as the first distillery on the Isle of Islay in over a century. Inspired by the essence of a 19th-century "farm distillery," Kilchoman takes pride in crafting peated malt with delicate saline undertones. The Madeira Cask Matured edition, distilled in May 2015, spent 5 years and 3 months in 46 Madeira casks before being bottled in August 2021. This expression balances the rich and fruity characteristics of Madeira casks, including grilled walnuts and stewed fruit, with Kilchoman's signature creamy citrus sweetness.
