The Tobermory distillery, briefly renamed Ledaig from 1972 to 1975, has a history marked by closures and reopenings. Since 1993, it has crafted two single malts: the unpeated Tobermory and the peated Ledaig (with 30 to 40 ppm phenols). This expression brilliantly captures the distinctive and enchanting style of the finest Ledaig whiskies, showcasing a rich synthesis of peatiness, rancio, headiness, exotic notes, chocolate, saltiness, empyreumatic elements, and spice.
