Established in 1969 by Masataka Taketsuru, Miyagikyo Distillery originally known as Sendai Distillery sits in a tranquil valley in Miyagi Prefecture. The location was selected for its clean air, soft water and favourable conditions for whisky maturation. Its large, steam-heated pot stills support gentle, controlled distillation, creating the light, fruity and elegant character that distinguishes Miyagikyo from Yoichi.

Returning after a decade-long absence, Miyagikyo 10 Year Old Single Malt offers a fresh expression of the distillery’s signature style. Juicy orchard fruits and lively citrus meet delicate malt sweetness and mellow vanilla, resulting in a rounded, beautifully balanced Japanese single malt.

Nose: Crisp apple and bright citrus, layered with delicate vanilla sweetness.
Palate: Ripe fruit and sweet malt with a smooth, rounded mouthfeel.
Finish: Lingering sweetness with a delicate bittersweet touch.
