The whisky displays a copper-orange hue, inviting with an ample and refined nose. It features notes of apricot rancio, oxidative cherry eau-de-vie, and tertiary elements such as toasted walnut, precious wood, and varnish, showcasing the sherry cask influence brilliantly. With aeration, heady perfumes of orris concrete and sandalwood intermingle with caramel aromas, enriching the aromatic palette. On the palate, it offers a clear and lively experience, with chocolatey notes transitioning into rooty ginger, medicinal cough drop, and a hint of camphor. The mid-palate reveals vegetal sugar cane and roasted nuances, leading to notes of sugarcane and toffee. The finish is long and velvety, with fine fruit tannins of raisin and dried fig gently enveloping the palate. Oriental spices such as curry and turmeric emerge, while the aftertaste evolves into a powdery cocoa sensation.
